CEO

As the CEO of Alcala Consulting, Marco Alcala specializes in providing Virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO) services for small to medium-size businesses that want to improve efficiency and profitability with cost-effective technology solutions. Marco earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California State University, Northridge, and brings 14 years of IT industry experience to our company. He also holds numerous technical certifications, including being a Microsoft® Certified Professional along with several Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist certifications. In his time away from the office, Marco enjoys playing basketball with his children Mark Anthony and Isabella, watching movies with his wife Mari and dancing Salsa with her as well.

Alison Duggins

Help Desk Support Technician

As our expert Help Desk Support Technician, Alison Duggins manages and resolves all escalated Service Desk incoming phone calls, emails, and tickets received with attention to customer service. She also specializes in the purchasing, configuration and deployment of hardware and software, as well as troubleshooting of basic network, software and printing problems for our clients. She is skilled in working with smartphones with BES and Activesync, and also works with vendor support contacts as needed to resolve any technical problems. She holds numerous technical certifications, including: MCP, CNA, CSSA, A+, IBM Hubbell Certified Technician, Premise Wiring, and IBM Certified Specialist pSeries AIX. With over a decade of IT industry experience, Alison is the technology expert our clients count on for rapid support when they need it most. In her time away from the office, Alison enjoys cooking, hiking, wildlife, cycling, music, photography, film, art and modern science.

Mari Polo Alcala

Marketing Manager

Mari Polo Alcala is a talented, results-producing marketing professional with a proven record of accomplishment in planning and leading marketing strategies in support of business goals and objectives. She specializes in contract negotiation, collateral development, new market penetration, formulating vision and strategy, direct marketing and more. She holds a degree in Exterior Commerce from Atlantico University in Barranquilla, Colombia, and is currently continuing her education with marketing and business classes. She is the marketing professional Alcala counts on to extend our service offerings to potential clients, making her an invaluable member of our growing team.

David A. Stevenson

Network Engineer

David is a certified systems professional. He is highly qualified for the role of Network Engineer, with a strong background in netwook administration and user support, systems analysis, architecture, and deployment. David has a wealth of specialist knowledge, including experience with Windows 95, 98, Millennium, NT Workstation, NT Server, 2000 Professional, 2000 Server, XP, Vista, 7, Server 2008, and Server 2003, which he gained during an IT career that has spanned over 14 years. Additionally, David holds an impressive array of academic achievements, including certifications from Finch Computer Services in Glendale, and Microsoft Certified Professional qualifications in Systems Engineering, Internet and MCP.

Alex Ovanisian

Network Administrator

Alex has over ten years of IT experience, during which time he has amassed expert knowledge in networking, programming, troubleshooting, deleting viruses and Trojans and in operating systems, including Windows XP, 95, 98, Server 2003, 2008, Cisco IOS, ESX Server, Vista, 7 and Linux Ubuntu, Fedora, Red Hat Enterprise, and Gentoo. He is our go-to for in-depth knowledge on a wide-range of practices, including virtualization, computer support applications and coding script.

Roger Friedman

IP Telephony Architect.

As IP Telephony Architect, Roger designs, implements, and supports Asterisk based VoIP solutions. A high powered IT career spanning over 20 years, a B.S in Management Information Systems with a concentration in data communications from the University of South Florida and certifications from Cisco, Citrix, HP, Compaq, Blackboard Accounting, and Solomon ERP certifications give Roger the technical and management skills needed to excel in his role at Alcala Consulting.
